2026-2027 Reflections Program
Calling all artist! Enter the 2026-2027 National PTA Reflections Program.
Do you love creating art? The National PTA Reflections Art program in partnership with Free State PTA and HCCPTA is your chance to showcase your creativity and share your unique perspective through the arts.
The theme for this year's contest is: "What my culture means to me".
Culture can be defined in many ways : Culture refers to the collective beliefs, values, customs, and practices that characterize a particular group or society. It encompasses language, art, religion, and social norms, shaping how individuals interact and perceive the world.
For the theme students are invited to submit orginal works in one or more of the following categories:
Dance Choreography
Film Production
Literature
Music Composition (must be orignal, recorded and placed on sheet music)
Photography
Visual Arts
🚫AI & Copyright Policy
AI Prohibited: Submissions may not be created using generative AI software (e.g., ChatGPT, DALL-E, Midjourney).
Permitted Tools: Standard digital image editing and painting software (Photoshop, GIMP) is permitted.
Copyright: Copyrighted material must be incidental or a minor element used to create an original work.
Entries are required to have a title for the work and an artist statement explaining the piece as it relates to the them.
All entries will be judged on creativity and interpretation of the theme. Winning entries from our PTA will move forward to County level, and advance from there if chosen to the State PTA level at so forth. Each advancement comes with an award.

All artwork with completed entry form is to be submitted digitally to the Bel Air Middle School PTA Reflections Committee via email at bamsreflections99@gmail.com.
All entries and winners will be showcased at a Reflections ceremony in April in person.
